As the days get brighter, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible donators, volunteers and fundraisers who have been spreading hope with us over the past few months.
Because of you...
£1063 was raised through our Bamber for Christmas campaign, helping us support those who needed it most during the festive season.
Tracy walked an amazing 62 Miles of Hope for Fresh Minds, raising £350 and showing true dedication every step of the way.
Our fantastic local primary schools hosted non-uniform days and fundraisers for Fresh Minds. It’s always so encouraging to see young people stepping up to support other young people.
Antrim Football Club raised an incredible £440.67 through their Cash Call fundraiser - Teamwork on and off the pitch!
Cailin raised an incredible £1,141.68 in December by taking on a 50km challenge, with her whole family cheering her on and supporting her every step of the way.
We’re developing a national grief literacy vision to better support families, schools and communities navigating grief.
If you’re a writer, editor, resource creator, or someone who believes grief literacy matters, we’d love you to be part of it.
And behind the scenes, our volunteers have been absolute star. From making heartfelt cards and designing for upcoming projects, to building shelves and doing all the bits and bobs that make a big difference in the Heartspace.
Can you help us?
Across Northern Ireland, accessing bereavement support can be especially difficult. Long waiting lists, limited local services, and rural isolation mean too many children don’t get the help they need when they need it most.
And this is where you can help.
A comforting bereavement support dog created by Fresh Minds Education to support children right here at home. Bamber isn’t just a toy, they are gentle companion, a conversation starter, and a source of emotional safety for children. Through The AMBER Approach to Resilience, Bamber helps children:
Bamber is one of the few bereavement support tools specifically designed to reach local children across Northern Ireland especially those who may be missed by larger, national services. Your donation will support local children directly:
£15 – Provide one Bamber to a grieving child in a local community.
£50 – Support one family with Bamber and grief resources.
£100 – Provide Seven Bambers to a primary school so staff can support children affected by bereavement or emotional overwhelm.
Your support ensures that children across Northern Ireland, from Belfast to Ballymena, Strabane to Strangford receive comfort, connection, and care at the moments they need it most.
